Commanding Your Morning devotion 01/04/2024
Verse:
Romans 5:20-21 (NIV) – “But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Explanation:
In these verses, the apostle Paul highlights the incredible contrast between sin and grace. Sin entered the world through disobedience, leading to death and separation from God.
However, God’s grace is even more abundant, overflowing to cover all sin. Through Jesus Christ, grace reigns by offering righteousness and eternal life to those who believe in Him.
The more sin abounds, the more God’s grace abounds to bring salvation and restoration.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
We are awestruck by Your boundless grace that exceeds the depths of our sin.
Your grace is our hope and salvation, overcoming every wrongdoing and reconciling us to You. Forgive us for the times we have fallen into sin and strayed from Your ways.
May Your grace reign in our hearts and lives, leading us to walk in obedience and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
