Commanding Your Morning devotion 02/05/2024
Scripture:
Matthew 6:6 (KJV) – “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”
Explanation:
Jesus teaches the importance of private, personal prayer in this verse. He encourages believers to find a quiet place for prayer, away from distractions, to commune intimately with God.
This personal connection with God in secret prayer is valued, and the rewards of such sincere communication with God are openly manifested.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the privilege of private prayer, where we can come to You intimately and sincerely.
Help us to find moments of solitude to commune with You, away from distractions. May our private prayers be genuine expressions of our hearts, knowing that You see and hear us in secret and reward us openly. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
