About kathryn kuhlman
Born in 1907 near Concordia, Missouri, Kathryn Johanna Kuhlman emerged into a world where her father held the position of mayor. She was the offspring of Joseph Adolph Kuhlman and Emma Walkenhorst, both of German-American descent, and part of a family of four children. Growing up in a Methodist household, Kuhlman was privileged to receive exceptional Bible instruction from her devout parents.
At the tender age of 14, Kuhlman underwent a transformative spiritual experience. Several years later, she embarked on a journey of itinerant preaching alongside her elder sister and brother-in-law in Idaho. Subsequently, she earned ordination from the Evangelical Church Alliance, marking a significant milestone in her spiritual journey.
The catalyst for Kuhlman’s remarkable healing ministry was Amanda H. Williams of Brooklyn, New York. A pioneering figure for women in ministry, Williams played a pivotal role in fostering the healing ministry within Kuhlman, laying the foundation for the impactful work that would follow.
